Where farming has been practiced for over 12 generations, “La Ferme Du Capitaine Noël” is a certified organic farm with two locations, each with its own address and hours.

The first location, The Captain’s shop, is located at 4734 Chemin Royal, in the seaside village of Saint-Jean. — A charming place were providing expert advice and satisfying your taste buds are our primary motivations. Our fruit specialties come from our fertile soil and are mainly blackcurrants, but also include red currants, pears, rhubarb, and cherries. These are all transformed on our premises into fine products, vinegars, and/or spirits. We craft them to offer you products of gastronomic and nutritious quality. We offer free tastings, followed by cocktails made with ingredients from our distillery, served on the terrace. — Open daily during peak season.

The second location, CAPTAIN NOEL’S FARM, is located at 4748 Royal Road, on the cape, 150 meters behind the “Captain’s Shop.” This is where the magic of our crops and processing takes place, and where you can tour our VINEGAR & DISTILLERY facilities. The site is beautifully designed to welcome you on guided tours. A kiosk at the entrance allows you to make purchases. From the moment you arrive, all your senses will be awakened. The sight of this little haven of peace will fill you with a soothing sensation. The sounds of nature and the farm environment will certainly surprise you. The aromas from the vinegar cellar will tantalize your sense of smell. You will learn how to taste this 5,000-year-old elixir and how to use it in cooking. — Spirits lovers, you’ll be charmed by our eaux-de-vie (pear or blackcurrant), our barrel-aged brandy, and our gins from the legendary Captain Joe. Crème de cassis, cherry, and rhubarb will soothe your palate. — Please check the schedule before your visit. — Opening is limited to a few time slots per week (bus tours, visits by reservation, and special events). Whether you choose one or the other of these locations, or perhaps even both, as is often the case, you will be welcomed with the warm hospitality that only the people of Orléans know how!

During harvest season—July 25 to August 10—we offer organic pick-your-own blackcurrants and red currants. A delightful experience awaits you in our organic fields. Whether alone or with friends, you can share relaxing moments or enjoy a healthy picnic with family.
