The maritime Museum is an institution accredited by the Ministry of Culture and Communications that recounts the rich history of wooden shipbuilding on Île d’Orléans. The visit unfolds over two buildings and continues on a vast outdoor site. Come visit the picturesque Godbout rowboat shop, which is a historic building containing a collection of heritage tools as well as the interpretation center of the former Shipyard of Saint-Laurent. You can then enjoy the outdoor site with, among other things, a visit of the Forest of rails. We offer 3 types of visits on the interpretation of the maritime heritage of Île d’Orléans. Come visit our site and its breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River!
