Atelier Alex De Lavoie Artist Painter

Born in Packinton, a little village near to the border of New-Brunswick; young Alex loved to paint, over the years, developed her style in vivid colors with little personnages who touch your child ‘heart. A pivoting event   and few geographics tribulations led curiously to the creation of a unique style: The Naive Lollypop. A front page in Florida and some in Quebec, winner of some contest and public choice, she was also the subject of a reportage of Radio-Canada to talk about this accident of her way, who bring her in the International Museum of Naive Art and to the Gallery Jeannine Blais , recocnized also internationaly.  Captivating  personnality, she  leave a trail with the comma littles eye and mouth in vibrant typical scenes. Those littles characters are travaling the world through the main entrance of art collectors. The artist create compositions inspired by the real situations where family gatherings, school activities and vacation are the keys to reveal an allegory of life moments with spinkles of humor. Perhaps you will be end up in one of her painting dressed up in one of her littles personnages?

And after 22 years, she put her anchor on   the fabulous Orleans Iland in Quebec. (It wanted my characters with reals eyes and mouth… but the period got stuck to th comma and… Magic… the expression did « PoP » The Naive Lollypop was born » (By Khristian Rosensky).
