Enjoy all 4 seasons at Ferme Le Bunker
Just minutes from the Île d’Orléans bridge, La Ferme Le Bunker invites you to discover a place that is both surprising and authentic, where agriculture, history, and the outdoors come together. Formerly known as Ferme Alain Plante, the farm was renamed Le Bunker in reference to a real Cold War bunker hidden beneath the welcome kiosk—a unique heritage feature in Québec.
For over 135 years, five generations of the Plante family have farmed this fertile land with passion, creating a site rich in stories that have shaped both the landscape and the collective memory of the Island. Fields stretching toward the St. Lawrence River offer stunning views of Québec City, adding to the site’s natural charm.
La Ferme Le Bunker is an ideal destination for seasonal pick-your-own activities, including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, pumpkins, and more. The site is open year-round for outdoor activities and family-friendly experiences.
During your visit, discover maple products and homemade gourmet foods prepared on site, or stop by the kiosk to stock up on local products. Be sure to visit the Le Bunker Museum, free and open year-round, which immerses visitors in the world of the Cold War and the farm’s agricultural family history.
Open in all seasons, the farm offers cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, and other outdoor activities in winter. During the winter season, the kiosk remains open from Friday to Monday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
📍 A must-see stop on Île d’Orléans, where heritage, agriculture, and memorable experiences unfold throughout the year.
